What’s your passion?

Your strength is not what your good at! It’s what you enjoy the most!

It happen to be the tagline from the book which I finished to read about two days ago. The book it selves really changed my perspective about career. And the different thing between ‘JOB’ and ‘CAREER’. It teach me something about things that I’ve been missed out. Well I’m not going to review the book here in my blog, but I feel like I’m going to share a bit of my perspective about it.

When I was a kid I always enjoy writing about everything on my diary, I had a dozens of that till my mom bought me a laptop. I always find it interesting to write something. Something about daily activity or poetry is always make my day, not to mentioned when I fallin’ for a boy when I’m still in elementary, good things, sad things, all of ‘em.. I write in the diary. And I’m still doing that thing till’ now, and put it in my journal, either notes or blog.

For me writing something is always a relieve. Indeed. No matter how it’s just a status I put it on facebook, or twitter or blog. It’s always a relieve to write something.

I love reading Hemingway or Austen or Dee, they write something and get paid for it, can you imagine how lucky they are? They such a ‘Rockstars’ for me. Of course they do it with passion, I mean Dee is not a bachelor in literarture, for cry sake she’s got a bachelor in International Relation and it’s more likely close to politics thingy right? But she made it, as a writer she made it perfectly.

Same situation with me, I don’t even take a literature as my major even I really love it, I decided to take advertising major in college and got a bachelor degree for that, but still.. I’m doing my passion in writing, even I’m not paid for it LOL, but I’m happy for it, I’m happy because I can write something.

Maybe it’s a passion, maybe because I’m doing it with all of my heart.

I think it’s everybody’s dream to work following their passion. It would feels like doing things we like and don’t feel any pressure at all. Based on the books that I read, passion is things that you really really love doing. The passion is your strength. And your strength is NOT about what your good at. It is about what you enjoy the most. It tells me that passion is within you. It is you uniqueness.

But the question is.. “DO YOU WANT TO FOLLOW YOUR PASSION?”. Cause sometimes we don’t always get what we want. Is it we have to get out from our routines and chasing our dreams or following what we liked most? It’s not really simple at all right? It takes a courage, It takes guts.

Well, for me it’s really a dream come true if we get paid for something that we liked to doing it. And we should have more courageous, and believe in ourselves. And i wish i can make it come true. Amiiin..
