What’s your passion?

Your strength is not what your good at! It’s what you enjoy the most!

It happen to be the tagline from the book which I finished to read about two days ago. The book it selves really changed my perspective about career. And the different thing between ‘JOB’ and ‘CAREER’. It teach me something about things that I’ve been missed out. Well I’m not going to review the book here in my blog, but I feel like I’m going to share a bit of my perspective about it.

When I was a kid I always enjoy writing about everything on my diary, I had a dozens of that till my mom bought me a laptop. I always find it interesting to write something. Something about daily activity or poetry is always make my day, not to mentioned when I fallin’ for a boy when I’m still in elementary, good things, sad things, all of ‘em.. I write in the diary. And I’m still doing that thing till’ now, and put it in my journal, either notes or blog.

For me writing something is always a relieve. Indeed. No matter how it’s just a status I put it on facebook, or twitter or blog. It’s always a relieve to write something.

I love reading Hemingway or Austen or Dee, they write something and get paid for it, can you imagine how lucky they are? They such a ‘Rockstars’ for me. Of course they do it with passion, I mean Dee is not a bachelor in literarture, for cry sake she’s got a bachelor in International Relation and it’s more likely close to politics thingy right? But she made it, as a writer she made it perfectly.

Same situation with me, I don’t even take a literature as my major even I really love it, I decided to take advertising major in college and got a bachelor degree for that, but still.. I’m doing my passion in writing, even I’m not paid for it LOL, but I’m happy for it, I’m happy because I can write something.

Maybe it’s a passion, maybe because I’m doing it with all of my heart.

I think it’s everybody’s dream to work following their passion. It would feels like doing things we like and don’t feel any pressure at all. Based on the books that I read, passion is things that you really really love doing. The passion is your strength. And your strength is NOT about what your good at. It is about what you enjoy the most. It tells me that passion is within you. It is you uniqueness.

But the question is.. “DO YOU WANT TO FOLLOW YOUR PASSION?”. Cause sometimes we don’t always get what we want. Is it we have to get out from our routines and chasing our dreams or following what we liked most? It’s not really simple at all right? It takes a courage, It takes guts.

Well, for me it’s really a dream come true if we get paid for something that we liked to doing it. And we should have more courageous, and believe in ourselves. And i wish i can make it come true. Amiiin..

I need a new muse

Do you think a writer needs laptop?
Hehe..i guess it's like asking, "kenapa jakarta macet?"
Of course a writer needs laptop. It's like a muse to them.
You cannot write if you don't have it right? (well i think it's just an excuse, hihi.. :p)
Well actually i'm not a writer. I only likes to write, about everything.
Have i told you that my last one is already broke?
Anyway, it happens, and yes it sucks. And since then i cannot write again.
And no, it's not an excuse.
My office had lend me a laptop which i can use it to work.
But then again, it seems not working properly.
And it's a notebook, with no CD-ROM, cannot read the wifi at my office, and it doesn't have an enough space.
And everybody seems have the iMac and macbook in this office. And i'm not.
I'm a producer but they don't support me with a good stuff. -____-
Lucky me.
And after i think about it in several months, "Do i really need a macbook?"
As long as i know.. i need a new muse.
A muse which can make me more productive.
So i should say.. i need this macbook pro.

When Words Meet Heartbeats

As I sat in a crowded room full of strange faces.
Soberly observing.
Imagining the mysteries behind each set of unrecognizable eyes.
I turned to see this smile.
A sparkle in his eyes.
In an instant our bodies were contiguous where.
Even over the thump.
Thump of the deafening beat.
Our hearts rang strong against one another.
Tangled together.
Strangers' stories lay neglected and forgotten.
A heap of mystery in a cold dark corner.
For this is the only story that matters.
It is kept safe and warm between our beating hearts.
Eyes locked.
We could not help but smile.
This is Love.
Might be.

if there is something i believe in

Do you believe in what people call ‘soulmates’? I, for one, do not.
I’ve been told my way of looking at love is cynical but I don’t think so.
I believe that a person call fall in love with anyone, given the timing is right.
People fall in and out of your life, I don’t believe in destiny, things happen for no reason

and you are left to try to control it - although you know you can’t.
I only try to convince myself
things are meant to be when something negative happens.
But in the end, I don’t think it works like that.
My friends are not my friends because they are better than other people -
I’ve learned to love them by being around them and getting to know them. If I spent time with most people, granted they weren’t extremely rude
and had no interest in me,
I could probably love them just as much as I love my friends now.
But somethings I find harder to explain, like the way you can meet people who
just feel right for you.
But then again, this might also be coincidence - and timing. But it is all so very shallow.
I wish I could look at people and oversee their physical appearance. But of course that’s not possible.
But if it was, I really wonder what I’d see. But do not mistake me, if there is something I believe in it is love.
